Teflubenzuron

Teflubenzuron,伏虫隆

Other Name:N-[[(3,5-dichloro-2,4-difluorophenyl)amino]carbonyl]-2,6-difluorobenzamide

CAS Number: [ 83121-18-0 ]

Molecular Formula: C14H6Cl2F4N2O2

For corp protection, Teflubenzuron is used to control a wide range of insect pests and mites in fruit, vegetable, cereal and seed crops. It is also occasionally used to control sealice infestations in salmon. Teflubenzuron works by interfering with the synthesis of insect chitin, which is essential to their growth and development.

Comparing with Azamethiphos which is very water-soluble also used in Salmon fish farming , teflubenzuron is hardly dissolving into water. Teflubenzuron has a regulatory action on the growth of arthropods and crustaceans and has been used against Lepeophtheirus salmonis and Lernanthropus kroyeri, new report shows that teflubenzuron could be well used as a tool for control of trichodinids in freshwater fish.
