Sulfluramid, a pesticide for controlling leaf-cutting ants, it is perfluorinated pesticide and delayed-action insecticide. The commercial product of Sulfluramid is started from the PFOS-precursor N-ethyl perfluorooctane sulfonamide (EtFOSA).
Sulfluramid (also named as N-ethyl perfluorooctane sulfonamide) is a relatively slow-acting toxicant often formulated in balts for cockraoch, ant and termite control. Its slow-acting stomach poison interferes with termite cellular energy-production activities and sulfluramid is incorporated into a cellulosic matrix
