Mancozeb is a zinc-based fungicide that effectively prevents early and late blight. It is not acceptable for use in organic gardens. Mix concentrated mancozeb with water in a tank sprayer according to the directions on the product label. Apply it as soon as seedlings sprout and then every week to 10 days after the first application to provide thorough protection. Stop using mancozeb five days before harvesting tomatoes.
