Mancozeb is a zinc-based fungicide that effectively prevents early and late blight. It is not acceptable for use in organic gardens. Mix concentrated mancozeb with water in a tank sprayer according to the directions on the product label. Apply it as soon as seedlings sprout and then every week to 10 days after the first application to provide thorough protection. Mancozeb is fungicide with protective action and it is used to control of many fungal diseases in a wide range of field crops, fruit, nuts, vegetables, ornamentals, etc. Mancozeb is very frequently and typically used to control of early and late blights of potatoes and tomatoes; downy mildew and black rot of vines; downy mildew of cucurbits; scab of apple; sigatoka of banana and melanose of citrus.
